Francia es la primera semifinalista del Mundial de Rusia 2018 tras imponerse este viernes a Uruguay en Nizhny Novgorod por 2-0 con tantos del madridista Raphael Varane y del atlético Antoine Griezmann.
Raphael Varane adelantó al conjunto de Didier Deschamps a los 40 minutos al rematar de cabeza un lanzamiento de falta de Griezmann, que sentenció el encuentro a los 61 con un disparo desde fuera del área que se le escapó al meta uruguayo Fernando Muslera.
Francia se enfrentará en la semifinal al vencedor del encuentro Brasil-Bélgica el próximo martes en San Petersburgo (21.00 hora local/18.00 GMT).
